2020 NYSCC Call For Nominations

RE:                  Nominations for Elective Office

DATE:             August 2020

The Nominating Committee of the New York State Conservation Council is now seeking candidates for the offices listed below:

President   First Vice President   Second Vice President   Secretary   Treasurer   Legislative Vice President   Director at Large         

Any and all nominations should be sent to the Chairman of the Nominating Committee by September 4, 2020:

Recommendations should be accompanied by a brief resume of the candidate’s qualifications for the Committee’s review. 

Regions 1, 2 and 3 must elect a member to the Nominating Committee at the Fall Convention.  Also, Regions 1, 4 and 6 must elect Directors and Alternates.  Results of Regional elections should be reported to the Council Office as soon as they become available for transmittal to the Nominating Committee and announcement at the proper time. 

Before accepting a nomination to run for First or Second Vice President, the candidate must designate in writing that he or she is willing to accept the position of Vice President or President in the event vacancies occur.  A Legislative Vice President candidate accepting nomination must designate in writing his or her acceptance of the Legislative Committee Chair.  All current officers should indicate if they are willing to be nominated again for their respective offices for 2020 – 2021.
